What an exciting 3 weeks this has been. I just finished the Chongqing World Cup and I am incredibly proud of my performance! I placed 12th, which is my highest placing at a World Cup, ever!
While it's difficult to compete 3 weekends in a row, I was feeling strong and excited for the last World Cup for this leg of the circuit. I felt more in the groove of competing and was used to the constant travel and hotel hopping at this point.
In qualifiers I ended up with 2T9, 3B3. This put me in 19th place, securing a spot in semi-finals for the first time this season. I was definitely excited to be heading into the next round! One of the biggest bummers of not making the next round if not only missing the opportunity to place higher, but missing the opportunity to try more fun problems as well :)
Semi-finals went even better than qualifiers, I scored 1T2, 2B2, putting me in 12th place. The competition was tough, with 7th through 13th place all having 1 top. To break into finals you needed 2 tops, which was not an easy feat!
Overall I am very happy with this competition! It was a great way to end my three week trip. Now I'm looking forward to spending some time at home, I see a lot of relaxing and training in the future!
On to the next adventure...
