Hello again everyone!
I know I just posted the Nanjing World Cup blog, but I wanted to write about Tokyo while it was fresh on my mind as well :)
First of all, Tokyo was an AMAZING experience in general. Last year I had really bad jet lag so I didn't fully get to enjoy Tokyo, but this year, I had an incredible time exploring! Competitions are always fun, but they are even that much more fun when you get to explore an amazing area!
I felt very confident after the Nanjing World Cup and my climbing felt very strong too! I was looking forward to another weekend of great setting/competing.
Unfortunately I did not make it out of qualifiers this time. With only two tops it was not enough to make the cut for semi-finals. It was definitely disappointing, especially after climbing so well in Nanjing...but that's how it goes sometimes :) The competition pointed out some definite weaknesses that I look forward to improving for the Vail World Cup in a few weeks!
Now I'm home and looking forward to enjoying some time sleeping in my own bed! These past two competitions were a blast...but it's back to training for a few weeks!
On to the next adventure...
