I wanted to write out a quick blog post before the 2015 World Cup season begins on Saturday.
Tomorrow I leave for the first bouldering World Cup of the season in Toronto, which I am very excited about! I have always enjoyed Toronto and I cannot wait to put some of my training to work on the circuit.
I feel incredibly lucky to be able to do the bouldering World Cup circuit this year. If you are not familiar with the IFSC Bouldering World Cup Circuit, the schedule is below.
Toronto, May 30-31
Vail, June 5-6
Chongqing, June 20-21
Haiyang, June 26-27
Munich, August 14-15
I have never done the full bouldering World Cup circuit, the most World Cup's I have done in the circuit was 2 during 2014 (Toronto and Vail).
Following the 2014 Vail World Cup I really amped up my training by adding a strength training section. Following ABS Nationals in February, I built my home gym to focus more on World Cup style setting/training.
I am as prepared as I can be at this point and I am looking forward to a season of good climbing, travel, and fun! It will be an adventure to compete in so many new destinations, meet new people, and see the outcome of my training.
Looking forward to this season...more updates soon...I'll be blogging after every stop :)
